buying a light kicker will give you a bad first time experience to shooting clays.
picture yourself on a golf course and someone hands you a putter for a 300 yd drive to the green.
would you think golf is fun chipping your way down the course?
oh but wait! just go home, cut off the head, weld or tape a 2 wood head on it, and give it a try.
by the time youd be done tweeking the putter, it would have been a lot easier to just get a 2 wood and place your shot on the green.
yet every day in the shotgun world, people do just that to save a buck.
if youd like, being im a former skydiver.....i could use the cheap parachute or a top notch double stitch parachute analogy? :>
in every sport, pro's and manufacturers push getting the best quality equipment.
i cant think of one sport that doesnt.
shoes to run.
canoes to glide.
uniforms.
golf balls.
baseball bats.
saddles.
hiking boots.
tents.
and of course ...cars!
yet, when it comes to shotgunning, they push cheap guns?
i never could figure this out.
i wont hike the sierras in sneakers.
ponder these points.
youre in your 80's. you and your wife deserve a treat. get the best.
go good. if you dont like it, you stand a better chance to get your money back selling a good gun, than a boat anchor.
