All:

i am trying to mount a picatinny rail to an H&R 12 gauge single shot break action shotgun because I have several adapters that allow me to shoot other bullets. I want a picatinny rail so that I can remove the scope when not shooting with the adapters, and put it back on and have it retain its zero point when I am shooting with the adapters. I realize that this will not be as accurate as simply shooting a gun specific to that caliber, but when out plinking I want to be able to hit my mark at say 50 - 75 yards. Does any one have any ideas how I can get the rail mounted? I have had gunsmiths look at the gun, they say that the barrel is too thin to drill and tap and they dont want to weld either. They cant mount to anything else because of the break action. If anyone knows of a gunsmith in the Atlanta area that would be able to help me, I would appreciate it.
