Hey Yall, I am in the process of "accessorizing" the mossberg 500.. see pics below... I wanted yalls input, more specifically the placement of the flash light, It's not a great light, but it's not a piss poor one either. Where do you think the proper place to mount it on this configuration should be, and why? And yes I do plan on shortening the pressure switch chord, but don't want to do it until i find a suitable location on the firearm.

There is enough room on the magazine tube to get a tri rail and put a light on that. My first shotgun was a Maverick 88 and my light is a Streamlight TLR-1.

I'd back it off a little. Looks like the muzzle blast could reach it where it is.

Mag tube gives you the option of left, right, or below the barrel.

Thnxs I actually now have a tri rail mount on it now and am going to place it off to the side( right side, because I'm a right hand dominant and don't want it to obstruct my view on the left side).

I'd back it off a little. Looks like the muzzle blast could reach it where it is.

eh, it'll make for a dirty light rather fast but probably not much else.

back it up just behind the muzzle and it should keep it clean and not interfere with the light output.
