Hi folks recently I sold a S&W mod 17 revolver and I was left with some .45 AR rounds which I can reload. My question is : I have a Sauer & Sohn SXS 24 gauge shotgun my old man left to me.Using a sub tube conversion 24 gauge to 410 is it possibly to chamber and fire 45 AR in it? I can´t buy another gun to fire them and am trying to figure out a way to use them.
Accuracy is not an issue.
Thanks regards, Ray

The .45 Auto Rim is a pistol cartridge as you know, and has a maximum pressure of 15,000 CUP. The .410 bore has a maximum pressure of 13,500 CUP so it's too much pressure for the .410.

Having said that, I personally wouldn't shoot it in a shotgun even if the pressures were compatible.
