I am loading Federal High Overall on my grabber press and most of the primers are not seating all the way on the first stroke. If I leave the handle down and wait a few seconds they will seat. They are once fired. I have a few Winchesters and they prime fine . Using win209 primers. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem ?
Pretty sure this will go away next time.

I reload .410 bore almost every week, never Federal although I've reloaded them in the past, but these days primarily Winchester HS and occasionally Remington.

I'm not following this at all. Are you saying you pull the hand down, the primer doesn't seat all the way but if you keep pressure on the handle, the primer ultimately seats?

I have run into primers not liking to seat fully in my 12 gauge grabber with Remington STS hulls periodically. They sometimes would have a little plastic build up above the primer pocket. I quit loading them for that reason. I stick to Nitro's and AA's.

After they are de-primed, take a look at them and see if that might be the case.

Good luck and all the best.
