Well, went to my new local funstore and came home with a Remington 870 Express Synthetic. 18" BBL and 2 shot extension. My camera isn't working and the cellphone cam just wont get a good shot of it so I'll post some pics up soon.

You picked a good one - now go put a 1000 shells through it!
Congrats.

I just bought one last week but I haven't been to the range yet 'cause we've had 5 days of rain.

I'm thinkin' I shoulda' bought the Marine Magnum instead.

Yeah, it's rainy, windy, and about 35 degrees. I think I'll just sit and admire it for now.
Same one I am gettin. Congrats!
Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Its a Mossburg 930 SPX.

Good job Lost and Mon... Nothing like a scattergun being added tot he collection...

@ Lost, the 870 will serve you well. I carried one in the Marines, own 6 now, Rcvd my first when I was 14 I think. Great shotguns. Only thing I would change on the express quickly is the forend. I am not a fan of the "sport" long forend. Inhibits being able to do a correct admin unload, interferes with sidesaddles (not a fan of them anyways), and just does not feel right.

Again, great collection to the arsenal.
I had the exact same firearm...great basic shotgun. I did replace the stock with a Pro Mag because I prefer a pistol grip and adjustable stock. My only major complaints were the long forend and the extension tube...it can be a bit finicky when reassembling it, if you aren't careful you'll only be able to get 6 rounds in it instead of 7...takes a bit of adjustment.

I was going to get the Moss 930 SPX (and still may eventually) but I found a new old stock FN TPS and had to jump on it.

I landed up selling the 870...
You got youurself a great shotty. Personally, I went with the Mossberg 590. They both get the job done.

Nice, I love my 930SPX but I have spring binding issuses when fully loaded. Which mount do you have up front? I used the Nordic, definitely works! I was afraid to tighten the hell out of it and it slid around when I took it to the range even though I thought it was pretty tight. Once I cranked it down it was great! Lesson learned!

Looks like you have a good start on a nice collection! Just add a rifle of your choice and you can start hitting up some 3-gun matches!

The clamp I am using is actually a flashlight mount meantto clamp onto the magazine. I read on another forum where a guy said this would work as a barrel/mag clamp. Its made by UTG and I think I paid 20 bucks for it.

I have some sling adapters coming so I can get the sling off of the mag tube. I feel like such a mall ninja.

Not the best pic, but you get the idea.
Nice...did it come that forend or did you put it on there? If I were you I'd pick up a Speedfeed III buttstock for it as well...

Yep, came with the forend. I was thinking about the Speedfeed. Of course, this could easily turn into the ubermallninjazombieslayertacticool shotgun of doom. Ya like that description?
I just got the same shotty last weekend and so far I love it. I havent had a chance to go to the range yet but hopefully soon. Last night I picked up a Knoxx SpecOps Stock for it from ebay for less than $100. I was considering the speed feed as I have shot one with it and loved it but I had to think that my wife was gonna be using it and it was a little long for her and the recoil was a little to much. So hopefully with the knoxx it will fix both of the problems.

On a side note does anyone know if the bead front sight on there is a screw in or is it pressed in?

Sorry for the hijack.
GREAT choice!

Ive yet to purchase my own shotgun but Ive been shooting them for years. I even happen to have an 870 sitting under my bed and some clays sitting on my desk. For a guy that hasnt bought one, I sure use them a lot!
