I weighted up the gun with a steel rod in the butt and a piece of sheet lead in the forearm. Nice weight and balance, now.

Better than having a new gun flop open due to poor machining and tolerances. Shooting the gun and reloading the chambers frequently helps a lot!

You can also smear a LIGHT coat of grease on the sides where the receiver meets the barrel to reduce some friction; by small, I mean as in non-visible, just enough to help a little
