Smile Range report

Having owned several of the Three B's over the last several years, I decided to try a less expensive shotgun this year for dove season. I searched the web to find out all the reviews, good and bad about the Yaldiz shotgun. I decided on the Yaldiz semi-auto A71 wood stock 12 ga sold at Acadamy. I went to the store and looked at several, still in the box, to choose the best wood and they varied greatly. All nice wood but some had a better grain. I thought what the heck for $399.00 how could you go wrong! Comes with 5 chock tubes. Brought the gun home completely took it apart and cleaned it. Loaded three shells went outside pulled trigger three times it went boom 3 times. Opening Day Dove season first dove I shot at, Dead, got to love that! Shot a limit in the next 2 hours. I have shot this gun everyday for the next week and killed a limit everyday. I have shot about 3 cases of 12ga 3 dram 11/8 oz shells Rem, Win, Fed & Escort all mixed. I never had a malfunction with the gun of any kind! This gun shoots as good as any of the semi-autos I have ever owned. Cons: Not much of a recoil pad, But recoil was not noticable. Magazine plug was a short piece of plastic, looks like a plastic straw, I just about threw it away, but it works. The button that you push to load the shell in the chamber is hard to push. Beside that I could find nothing else wrong with the gun. I would recommend this gun to anyone that's looking for a new semi-auto!! Will have a follow up after Duck season. GREAT GUN The over/unders look absolutely great.

Thanks for the report! The Turks know how to build S/G's.

I have a Yildiz 20ga O/U (my wife's really) and think it's the best entry level gun O/U out there.

Like REDEYE50 noted, the wood alone on Yildiz shotguns is way better than anything near it's price range. I have about 1K rounds through mine without a hiccup.

Yildiz has proven to my satisfaction, sometimes inexpensive doesn't equate to cheap.

Congratulations on your new SA shotgun purchase.
