My dad gave me his way back when. When I was a lad back in 1959 or 1960 I used to accompany him hunting. I still have it and use it at my clubs Turkey Shoots. It's helped me bring home the turkey more than once. Way too heavy to lug around in the field, (all those darn steel parts!). It's one well made shotgun, They don't ( and can't afford) to make them like that anymore!

its one of those guns that doesnt need to be broken in to work. lol.

heres one of my loaner guns being used by one of my shooters. he left his chokes at home for his o&u. (one of my pet peeves about a screw in's value)

btw, he came in 1st place with this one.

Bobski, the Winchester mod. 50 was it made before the Winchester sx1.

yes. the 50 was made from 54 to 60.
the sxm1 was made from 74 to 81.

here are john olins model 50's. ones a 12 and the other is a pigeon 20ga. note the e' grade stocks. he liked those styles.

Too bad they never made the M50 in the correct gauge. I would have loved to have one!

they did. but it never made it past experimental.

Same with the Browning Superposed - they made thousands of them, but only one in the proper gauge. It is in the Herstal museum in Belgium.
I do admit to being a bit prejudiced in this respect...
