New Black Aces Tactical Mini 12 Gauge
Hi I'm new to the forum. I don't know why it took me so long to join, I have a lot of shotguns.
Everything from over/under for sporting clays to a Winchester 1300 defender.
I saw this Black Aces Tactical Mini and thought that would be fun one to have.
Apparently its a semi auto based on the Remington model 1100.
I have not fired mine yet because it did not come with a manual, I think that was a mistake in packaging perhaps.
It has a button on the right side that I assumed was the bolt release to bring a new shell into battery.
There is a sort of lever/button on the left side near the front of the trigger guard. I don't know what that's for, the safety is obvious at the rear of the trigger guard.
I have some A-Zoom 12 gauge snap caps that I practiced with. But things aren't making sense. Probably because of my unfamiliarity.
I fed a dummy shell into the chamber and one in the magazine. Then pulled back the bolt to cycle the chambered round out and cycle in the one from the magazine. But the bolt just locks back and stays back.
When I hit the button on the right side of the receiver, nothing happens. I thought this was suppose to release the bolt to move forward and into battery.
The lever/button on the left side near the front of the trigger guard I have no idea what that's for.
I've chambered a dummy round, hit that lever/button there and I hear something happen in there but I can't tell occurred. It sounded like a bolt released but the bolt seemed already forward.
So just curious on general the operation of this gun.
Is the right side button suppose to release the bolt forward to chamber a round?
What is the other button/lever for on the left side of the gun?
I want to test fire this gun but until I know if those controls are functioning right, I won't.
All I can do is test fire it too, until I get sites for it.
Thanks for any light shed on this subject!
Thanks for any information I can get from the forum on this!
Welcome from Florida.
Is the safety on?
Did you try to Google the owner's manual?
I did try googling the manual. No dice yet.
Have you contacted the manufacturer?
