Where to shoot

I'm new to sporting clays. I'm retired, I have lots of time to shoot. I've been shooting sporting clays for about 6 months. I just shot at Quail Point. I live in California and I want to shoot a few tournaments out of state.

I have a schedule of tournaments and I'm curious which locations would be worthy of attending?

I'd like to keep to the Western states if possible, but I'm open to all recommendations?

I'm aware of that. I'm looking for recommendations on some of the clubs that are most enjoyable.

Thank you.

Not much of a reader at all. I did say "I have a schedule of tournaments and I'm curious which locations would be worthy of attending?" in my first post.

One I have attended here in Fl. was the Gator Cup. It was very comfortable and exciting. Before any school marms hop on my anatomy, I'm aware Fl. is not in the western states. I mention the Gator Cup because it had 700 entrants. If you look up some of the events and see that many people shooting you can rest assured it's a worthy get together. Best of luck in your new pursuit? passion? or itch.

Thank you, that's a great idea. I'll check out the best attended. Yes, I'm passionate about this. I can't learn fast enough.

The month of February is the month for big shoots in Florida with 4 major shoots back to back to back to back

The Western Regional at Quail Pointe seemed to be hurt, attendance-wise, from the recent US Open in AZ just before.
That Regional will be a good one. The 2019 Open will be at M&M in NJ; great place.

Any of the Regionals, the Browning/Briley in Houston, the Seminole in GA in March is also excellent.

The 2019 Open is already passed 500 shooters; sign up on Winscore

Check both Winscore and ScoringPro for sign-ups and info.
