Is this Adjustable Stock legal ?

Hi,

I'm new.

I'm interested in buying a Mossberg 500. My question is: Is it legal to install an adjustable stock (like the one in the picture) on it?

Thanks

You don't list where you live, so it is hard to tell. I don't know of any off the top of my head, but some States or municipalities might have laws against. It is always best to check with your local laws.

Check your SAFE Act as far as legalities go. In Florida, that is perfectly legal

From what I have read, NY bans them on semi-auto shotguns, but not slide actions like the 500.

However, what you read on the net and reality can be different. As always, check with local regulations.

Legal in the US as long as the complete shotgun, including stock and barrel, are greater than 26 inches (or no less than...can never remember). It is otherwise still legal as long as you don’t mind paying extra to Uncle Sam for the right to own it.

There are a lot of things that are "Legal in the US" that are not locally. Especially in states such as New York, California and others. AS RSD indicated, it's best to know the regulations and laws applicable to where you live.
