We only have two counties here in Idaho that are populate enough to put on a gun show of any size, and those counties are also the hotbed of the Chinese plague. So we seem to be totally shut down presently. Back to normal would be nice, we cannot be rid of this foolish epidemic soon enough to suit me.

Yep gun shows are still held; now whether or not they're worth spending the money to attend is another thing. With the panic/election BS, and the shortages of everything, don't expect prices to be anything short of really stupid.

The gun shows in Mesa and Phoenix have been shut down by the respective city fathers as they own the venues. In other cities, they've been continuing with no problems.

There's a new venue Crossroads Of The West Gun shows is going to start using this weekend in Queen Creek, around 4 miles from my house.

While I don't expect there will be any good deals on ammo or components or firearms, there might be on other related items and Mrs. Flash and I are going through Gun Show withdrawal, so we're going.

The one they held in Reno when I lived out that way (was formerly the Shotgun News trade show) was huge and held in two big rooms in the biggest hotel in Reno

The biggest one I've attended is the annual SAR show at the phoenix Fairgrounds.

5 Buildings, one large central tent area and the only show I've been to where seeing 4 out of 5 buildings is enough Gun Show for me.

Don't know if the Phoenix City fathers will allow it this year though.

No such thing as gouging - you either agree to pay the price asked, or you walk away. In either scenario you did not get gouged. If you have never rented a table at a gun show, you do not get why these guys charge the prices they do. Even folks with B&M storefronts charge more at the show than they do at their store because of the insane costs of doing business. Some 8' tables can run as high as several hundred dollars for the weekend depending on where they are located. That doesn't include possible extra insurance, hotel rooms, meals away and maybe having to close their store for the show. Most sellers are out a lot of money before they make sale one.
