I’ve inherited what appears to be at the very least 6 million of these,, anyone ever loaded these or have some data?? There is little to no cushion but they’ve got a hell of a shot cup. I’ve posted a few pictures as well as one next to a WAA12F114

Herter's has been long gone; those look interesting. You may have to search through some old data manuals to find the proper loading data.

Digging around the net, I found posts on other forums from years ago and a few of them said they had the old Herters load manual.

Try asking around on other boards in addition to this one.

This is from "shotgunworld.com"


The last Herter's plastic shaped charge wads including "Chalice" and "Vandalee" were packed in a box post marked Sept. 1974.

the data sheet shows the following for 1 1/8 oz loads ;

WW cases (AA) 17.5 - 18.5 700X 8000 - 9000 LUP
WW cases (AA) 17.5 - 18.5 Red Dot 8000 - 10,000 LUP

Federal Paper 19.0 - 20.0 700X 8500-9000 LUP
Federal Paper 19.0 - 20.0 Red Dot 8500 -9000 LUP

Peters RXP 17.5 - 18.0 700X 8600 - 9000 LUP
Peters RXP 17.5 - 18.5 Red Dot 8500 - 9500 LUP

NO MENTION OF PRIMERS

All velocities between 1150 fps to 1200 fps
