How does it work when you just put one in the center?

I haven't found a proper loading recipe for the plastic base wad hulls which is why I experimented with the air soft pellets up top on the few I made. I wanted to post a picture to give you guys a visual but can't figure out how to upload onto this site.

I am still in the process of finding the right components/recipe for those particular hulls.

SteveY, I agree with you 100%. There's no way I would routinely load that way. Gonna try the 7/8 oz wads like you suggested.

Really appreciate the feedback guys, thanks.

I haven't tried with just one. There's almost 1/4" gap between the shot and crimp without pellets added so the load out I tried for that style hull is completely wrong.

Something is off in your recipe - there should not be that much of a gap...................

Changed the recipe to ~20grs 700X with a 12S0 wad instead of the 12S3 wad it called for and used 1 1/8oz shot and it loaded perfectly. So I guess to use only 1 oz of shot I need to find a 7/8 oz wad to keep the shot column at the right height.
