I wear an Omega Seamaster DeVille self winder, 14K w/ date window. Bought at Ft Wainwright Army base exchange just North of Fairbanks,Alaska in 1968 for $175. I was working as a radar tech for RCA at Clear Air Force Station just North of Mt McKinley. Been off my wrist 3 times in over 50 years for about 2 weeks total; 2 cleanings and 1 overhaul. No longer water proof but keeps perfect time if I move enough to keep it wound. Been a great watch.

Mine wasn't as fancy; a Seiko dive watch I found; but I ;love the self-winders - I hate batteries. have my grandfather's Benrus self-winder as well, good for 36 hours fully wound with a dial letting you know. Simple to operate, and they both keep excellent time.
