Unhappy Mdl 600 12 ga

New member here with problem with Model 600. When firing both barrrels, very difficult to brake open action. Have owned gun for 30 years and never had problem before. My local gunsmith is stumped. Help!

I have had 20 and 28 gauge version and have never had this issue. Does it happen if you fire the barrels in any particular order or??? And what do you mean by hard to break open?

I am not certain..but wasn't that model made by Miroku? They have made some very fine shotguns over the years. OU shotguns have some points that need to be oiled and some greased. Make sure that you have no galling issues to prevent damage.

No, SKB was made by SKB in Japan, They made guns for a century or more when they recently decided to make auto parts instead so GU in Omaha bought the name and now has production done in Turkey. Miroku makes Japanese Brownings

My gunsmith found the problem. A weak firing pin spring kept pin from fully retracting and hanging up on fired primer. Replaced spring with stouter one and solved the problem. Thangs for the feed back.
