This is a discussion on lever action shotguns within the New Members Introductions forums, part of the Shotgun Forums category; 1st attempt at this, does anyone know of a lever action 410 shotgun that handles 3" rounds ?...
Every reference that I have seen to the 9410 (and the few that I have seen) are 2-1/2 only, as were the Marlin variety - but I don't claim to be a fount of knowledge
I would think that a 3" cartridge would require an awfully long throw action as well as a lengthened ejection port.
Henry, Marlin and Rossi all make Lever .410's...but 2 1/2 inch. They can be found at all the usual on-line stores.
My question is...what is wrong with 2 1/2 inch. I have shout tens of thousands of 2 1/2 inch at Skeet and Quail with more than satisfactory results. Honestly, if you are shooting something larger, you are probably under gunned with the 410 anyway.
