Sub Gauge tubes for Browning 725

A question for the Browning guys.

Shot with a guy Tuesday that had a 725 12 gauge with 20 gauge tubes. It would occasionally not fire the second barrel after the first had fired.

I read up on the Browning website and they also said that the trigger had to be modified to work perfectly with subgauge tubes.

Why is that? The 725 has "mechanical" triggers and on mine I can put nothing in the barrels, close the gun and pull the trigger twice and get two clicks.

Why would mechanical triggers have a problem with subgauge tubes?

I thought I remember reading that the trigger would need
work for the .410 ga tubes, but nothing mentioned for the
20 or 28 ga.

Companion Drop-In 20 Gauge Tube Set, Standard Weight

Attention Browning 725 owners: Please note that due to the lighter recoil and additional weight of the tubes, the factory trigger may not function properly. A modification to the way it operates is required to be able to shoot small gauge. We must have the complete gun to complete this modification. The cost of this service is $195 plus return shipping and insurance.
