New or old BT-99 P.O.A. ?

Hi Bob, Are you talking about the new or newer BT-99 with that really high rib or the early one with a lower rib ? I have owned an early BT-99 and I thought it shot to about the same place as the Beretta Mark ll Trap gun. But I could be wrong. Like I said earlier, I am learning this sport.

Three Generations of MK II Shooters

Hey there,

I started shooting 25 years ago after my great, great uncle gifted two guns to my father and myself. My dad was the recipient of a Beretta Mk II and I was given a Belgian made Browning Superposed. My uncle missed his Beretta so much that he bought a second for himself in 1997 to replace the one that he had given my dad. When my uncle passed in 2000, he left his Beretta to me.

It's been fun to set mine next to my dad's at shoots as they match and they're usually the longest guns on the rack.

Built like tanks, as a lot of others have said. Sadly, mine needs work and parts are hard to come by. As is a gunsmith who is willing to work on it.

Beretta has several authorized service centers in the US. Cole gunsmithing in Florida and Maine are well known for their work. You might want to give them a call.
