Montefeltro with new chokes loosening

Anyone else had an issue with Briley extended Crio Plus tubes loosening up easily? I bought three extended tubes and they all come loose after about six shots. I was just hand tightening at first, but also tried tightening a little more with a wrench and they still come loose. Never had an issue with the original flush tubes. Never had this issue in any other shotgun either.

Are you using any oil or grease on the threads? If not, try that. If you are and they are still loosening, try some white teflon tape on the threads; just be sure to clean them good after shooting.

I have been using Pro Shot Choke Tube Lube, which is a black grease. May need to try using a touch more each time or maybe another product. I’d hate to think I need to use thread tape. Maybe that’s more common than I imagine, but it sound like a PITA for shotgun chokes. I use it for HVAC regularly, but never on a firearm. Just haven’t had an issue like this with other extended tubes. These are my first from Briley.

Most everyone I know who have the extended tubes are always checking them during the round of clays. I just figured all of the extended ones loosen up while shooting.

I'd call Briley. Perhaps they made them just a bit undersized.

I emailed Briley. Curious to see how they reply.

I use white lithium grease on mine. Never had any problems but I may not shoot as much at one time as you.

I like Hornady One-Shot cleaner and dry lube or WD40 Dry Lube.
That stuff is magic for lots of things.

I’m just now getting out shooting again after kids graduating online and dealing with social distancing. Haven’t tried any other products yet, but have talked with several other shooters and sounds like checking for tightness after every few shots or each station is pretty normal.
