I'm sitting here with a Super Black Eagle, full camo, and a Montefeltro. Both are in 12 ga with 28" barrels.

Just bought a L.H. Montefeltro 12ga. I decided to switch from right to left and needed a gun to complement the change. Not much selection out there to choose from. I''m thankful Benelli didn't forget about us lefties! Plus, it's a quality gun with modern action.

I am not a Benelli owner, I do have a O/U distributed by Benelli and their customer service is top notch.
Does anyone have some links to information on the Benelli SBE II? I see a lot of good reviews on the model. Its kind of pricey but Benelli has a N/S reputation.

Just bought my first Benelli.. A 12ga M1 super 90 tactical with the 3 chokes. I love this gun. And like anything I buy I go on line to research it.And in researching it ran across a few videos of Tom Knapp. If you guys haven't watched the videos of Tom Knapp the Benelli spokesman for years..and world record holder for hand tossed clays..do yourself a favor and watch them. Unfortunately Mr.Knapp passed away last year..

Montefeltro 12 gauge

I just purchased my true benelli today and I am very pleased with how it shoots. I upgraded from a Stoeger M3000 which is part of the Berreta family and I loved shooting it but the montefeltro is to me a smoother shooting shotgun.

Originally, I was looking for an FN SLP in 2013 but it seemed like nobody had one. Finally a LGS had a short tactical SG and it turned out to be an M2 Tactical. It was light enough for me, well balanced and the action was very smooth. I knew Benelli made good firearms from their reputation, so I bought it on the spot.
It had a Comfortech stock. I didn't like a pistol grip on a SG when I handled one. This M2 did not have one. Although the LGS tried to talk me into an M4, I was not interested in the rifled barrel that shoots slugs.
So I added a Picatinny rail above the receiver for a future scope of sorts. I changed the bolt handle to a Nordic BFB (Big Fat Benelli) and added a Tru Lock Crio Tactical Breeching Choke (not that I am going to go around breeching doors or impaling zombies...).
I took it out to the desert hills and fired off some 12 ga. '00" buck through it. I didn't think I would like the ghost ring sights, but damn that SG was/is accurate @ 35 yards. I loved it and enjoyed it even more than my new AR that I had bought the month before.
I plan on getting a magazine extension tube to hold a couple more rounds.
Other than taking it out and shooting it for practice and fun, it will be a HD firearm.
You can keep your pump action SG's. The way I see it, racking a SG only tells a home invader your location and a semi-auto is faster and can be worked by one hand/arm in a pinch. The action on my Benelli is smooooth. No FTF probs.
