Baikal MP-153

Shotgunners...need your assessment of this Russian made semi auto. Thought about dropping $350 for one I saw for sale. Any reliability, quality issues I should be aware of?

Thanks!

If you Google the gun, you'll get about 10 reviews on it. I'll leave it you to buy. Personally, for $350, I might look for a better US used gun.

A lot of folks like this gun, mainly because it's affordability, and they are made like tanks!
The trigger pulls are miserable, but they always work. Might be a challenge getting the correct parts if something goes wrong. Personally, I would not buy one!

Duck hunting with it. I don't want to throw down $1200+ on a nice Beretta, Browning, Benelli. Just trying to see if this Baikal would bring me down just as good and trying to find out if they are reliable. I've never shot one and I don't know of anyone that has one.

Best budget gun
I got four loved so much
Extremely reliable
Draw back is due sanctions on Russia
After market parts would not be available
But you never need them.

I bought a nice Winchester Model 50 for $125. You can find them around that price. Love that gun and dunno why they sell so cheap. Also, I bought a new Silver Eagle semiauto (SE17 i think), for $300. Beautiful gun, and good reviews.

I don't know about that Baikal, but I bought a used Baikal O/U years ago, and I love it. The best hunts I had were made with that shotgun.
