Laurona sxs sidelock

Hi new member here . I was gifted a Laurona sxs sidelock shotgun witch I know nothing about. Serial # 16576 barrels are 32" long also has the # 12-70 on barrels and receiver. I don't know if it's a 12 or 10 gauge as a 12 gauge shell seems lose in the barrel. I think it must have been a field gun at some point because it has sling swivels on the barrel and stock.

Any help would appreciated Thankyou Tsavage

It is a 12ga. The 12/70 marking is 12ga, with 70cm, which is 2-3/4 inch chambers. Sling swivels are common on European field guns. Laurona's were decent quality Spanish-made guns.

Welcome from Florida! RKB is spot on.

Take the barrels off and there will be markings on the barrel flats and receiver. Take some good clear pics and post them (as well as the gun)
Laurona is a nice gun....
